The Short Pose
In this guide, I break down my process for short pose (1-5 mins) figure drawing. A variety of different approaches are included, such as breaking down the figure into individual shapes and planes. Line quality and choice are discussed in depth. You will be taught how to hone your ability to observe the figure and draw what you are seeing, rather than from a set of memorized rules. Topics such as stylization and exaggeration are also lightly touched on. Included with nearly every drawing is the reference photo that was used for it. Lengthy explanations have been added in text so that you can follow along at your own pace. Additionally, this guide also talks about exactly what kind of reference to look for when doing these sort of studies, whether they be photos or when working from life. 27 pages.
